Mustangs Helping Mustangs: Cross Country Team Steps Up for Campus Cleanup After Storm

When a severe overnight storm left the Mesquite Junior High campus scattered with debris, the Mustang Cross Country student-athletes turned their morning practice into a campus cleanup effort. Arriving early before the first bell, the student-athletes immediately helped MJHS’s building manager, Jesse Luna, create a more welcoming learning environment for our fellow students.

By shifting their morning conditioning into a hands-on service project, coaches and student-athletes demonstrated leadership and school pride. The effort highlighted the school’s vision to create an environment where students are more successful in life because they are a part of Mesquite Junior High.
