Students interested in learning to perform Mexican folk music can participate in a Mariachi ensemble course as an elective. It concentrates on the development of note-reading skills, aural skills, rhythmic patterns, intonation, music history, and performance traditions.

Gilbert Public Schools Governing Board approved that in November 2024, voters living within Gilbert Public School boundaries will decide on a proposed 15% budget override continuation. This would be a continuation of the existing budget override approved by voters in November 2019 and in place since the 2020/21 school year.

The application portal for free and reduced lunch for the 2024/25 school year is now open.
As a reminder, a new meal application is required every year to determine eligibility for the current school year.
